It does not matter if it is your personal accounts, home office or business, you know that confidential paper can build up quickly and begin overflowing if left unattended over time. It is important that where ever your day – to – day operations are being managed and where confidential paper is being generated, that some attention is always being brought to it. Being organized is important as well as: filing, using labels, storing, and implementing cleanouts. When cleaning out the filing cabinets, preparing for a move or simply purging to create some space always consider the best way to manage your paper work. Some of this paper needs to be filed away and some of it needs to be securely destroyed. Eventually, all of your files at some point in your life will reach their lifespan and need to be shredded. This is where Shredding Barriers can help you out. Not only can we properly destroy your documents, we can also share some professional advice and information.
One thing to keep in mind prior to shredding your documents is ensuring you are destroying the right things at the right time. Different records have different requirements when it comes to retention. If you have something you want to shred but are unsure if you should, always research, speak to your accountant or bookkeeper, or give us a call.
